The Canton Michigan Republicans are a manifold group that welcomes all sincere and respectful opinions.
We value our Canton Community and its superior qualities of safe streets and neighborhoods, sound education, varied entertainment venues, diverse shopping and dining places, available recreation in parks, athletic fields and the Summit Community Center.
Simply stated we seek to serve the citizens of the Canton Community by:
- Seeking to establish genuine community between individual citizens of our Canton by hosting community forums, supporting local businesses, assisting initiatives and volunteering our time and resources.
- Supporting free enterprise which allows every citizen to pursue his or her dreams as far as his or her energy and genius will provide.
- Engaging government whether township, county, state or federal to safeguard our interests as engaged and committed citizens.
We hold these views to be consistent with the spirit of the Founding Fathers of our state and nation. Furthermore, we deem them essential to the happiness and prosperity of the individual, the family, the neighborhood, the community, and the state of Michigan.
We welcome all to our monthly meetings on the third Saturday of each month starting at 8:30 am. We gather at Rose’s Restaurant - 201 N Canton Center Rd, for 60-90 minutes to discuss matters of importance to Canton citizens. If you are looking to get active, or to make new friends, please join us as we build for the future.
"It is necessary for every American, with becoming energy to endeavor to stop the dissemination of principles evidently destructive of the cause for which they have bled. It must be the combined virtue of the rulers and of the people to do this, and to rescue and save their civil and religious rights from the outstretched arm of tyranny, which may appear under any mode or form of government." – Dr. Joseph Warren (1741 – 1775) American patriot, killed early in The American Revolution at the Battle of Bunker Hill
